Here at Heska Mastiffs my goal is to produce sound mastiffs in both health and temperment. We are striving to produce quality mastiffs that can be shown as well as becoming family members.

We have distinct pedigrees and imported lineage. I have researched long and hard to find the best quality mastiffs that I could, and I am very thankful to their breeders for providing me with such wonderful mastiffs which allows me to embark on my dream. We enjoy our mastiffs so much, they are our pets and an important part of our family.

The Mastiff is a breed of integrity, careful selection of breeding quality specimens is necessary to ensure the perseverance of type and soundness. We take the pedigree and appearance of both the dam and sire into careful consideration prior to breeding, By calculating the strengths and weaknesses of each dog we are able to produce mastiffs which have type, good bone structure, superior movement and a sound temperament.

We don't have puppies very often and usually have a waiting list for our planned breedings. First and foremost, we believe in health, temperment and conformation of the breed. These must go hand in hand, with the desire to improve on everything we produce. We believe these are the key ingredients to keeping our breed true to it's nature.

We also, believe that each dog needs to be judged on an individual basis and matched with another dog in the efforts to help correct or emphasize each other. We try to work closely with other breeders to learn from there past experiences. We hope to reach our goal by gathering their knowledge and add it, to our on going research of the past and present to help preserve the breed and make a strong foundation for our future.

Our home is always open for anyone wanting to see our babies.

We are breeders of the true "Mastiff" sometimes referred to as the “English Mastiff” or the “Old English Mastiff”. Please do not confuse us with the"American Mastiff", which is a cross between the Mastiff and the Anatolian Shepherd. The AKC recognizes “Mastiffs” and does not recognize the American Mastiff.
